From Definitely Maybe to Dig Out Your Soul: Our Albums
Seven studio albums, one B-sides collection and a lot of songs people still sing back to us. Here are the records behind the designs in our store.
Where did it begin?
Definitely Maybe (1994). Our debut came out on Creation Records on 29 August 1994 and was the fastest-selling debut album in UK history at the time.
(What's the Story) Morning Glory? (1995). The second album, released the year Alan White joined us on drums.
What came next?
Be Here Now (1997). The third album.
The Masterplan (1998). Not a studio album but a collection of B-sides.
Standing on the Shoulder of Giants (2000). The first album after Gem Archer and Andy Bell joined in 1999.
Heathen Chemistry (2002) and Don't Believe the Truth (2005). Two more chapters of the story.
Dig Out Your Soul (2008). Our seventh studio album, and the last before the 2009 split.
Which songs do people know?
The songs. "Supersonic", "Live Forever", "Whatever", "Some Might Say", which gave us our first UK number one, "Wonderwall", "Don't Look Back in Anger", "Champagne Supernova", "D'You Know What I Mean?" and "Lyla".
How do the albums show up on the merch?
The logo. The boxed lowercase oasis logo sits on many of the designs, on its own or above artwork.
The art. Album and single artwork, song titles and photos from our history are part of the collection. Each product page says exactly what is on the front and the back.
Every garment. Each design comes on tees, long sleeves, crewnecks and hoodies, with kids' and youth sizes too.
